​Aging and Disability Assistance:

ADRC (Aging and Disability Resource Connection) is a one-stop shop or “no wrong door” entry point staffed with counselors who help older adults and adults with disabilities navigate life changes and find resources to assist them with living a more self-sufficient life. You can also report elderly abuse thru this network.

Food Assistance:

  • Decatur Area Emergency Assistance Ministry (DEAM): Provides emergency food and basic health supplies to qualifying residents. Services are available once per month. Apply in person at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Monday–Friday, 9:00–11:30 AM. (404) 373-2300 www.deamdecatur.org

  • Toco Hills Community Alliance: Offers a food pantry serving specific zip codes. Open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:00–4:00 PM. Registration starts at 12:00 PM. (404) 325-0677 www.tocohillsalliance.org

  • Hosea Williams Feed The Hungry: Provides a food pantry on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM. Bring ID. (404) 755-3353 www.4hosea.org

  • DeKalb Access and Resource Center: Offers a weekly food pantry to meet basic nutritional needs. (678) 476-3819

  • New Life Community Center: Provides a food pantry, clothing closet, and other supportive services. (404) 622-0793

Housing Assistance:

  • Resident Services Corporation (RSC): Enhances the lives of DeKalb County residents through programs focusing on health, wellness, financial management, and housing stability. Contact at 404-270-2592. www.residentservicescorp.org

  • Decatur Cooperative Ministry: Offers homelessness prevention and housing services. For assistance, contact DeKalb County Coordinated Entry at 404-687-3500. 

  • Nicholas House: Provides programs for homeless families, including emergency night shelter, transitional housing, and rapid re-housing services. 404) 622-0793

  • DeKalb for Seniors: Offers services to enable seniors to remain in their homes, enhancing their dignity, independence, and quality of life. (678) 982-9805

  • A Home For Everyone In DeKalb: Offers resources for utility assistance, employment agencies, food pantries, and more. (404) 687-3500
